Register to vote

You need to be on the electoral register to have your say in elections. If you’re not registered to vote, you can register at any time.

The register is updated every month by your local council. Click here to register via the Electoral Commission website.

If you're unsure whether you're on the list or not, see the link above there's a facility for checking your place on the electoral register.

No matter the vote, be it local, police commissioner, european or national - if you're not registerred to vote you cannot have a say. Remember, elections can be held at very short notice, so join the list now - don't panic and scramble to do it as the election is announced!

Those on the electoral register are also invited to vote on any referendum which takes place....You need to be on the list, in order to have your say.

Ex-pats are also entitled to vote, so whether you're living abroad briefly or working abroad, you still have the right to have your say in elections and referendums... Overseas Voting Details

Students and military: You may be living away from home for the time being, but you still have a full right to vote!

Home Movers:

If you’ve just moved house, you will need to register to vote again, and it's incredibly important that you do, otherwise you may not be able to vote! So while you’re unpacking your fridge and updating your TV licence, take a few minutes to ensure that you’re registered to vote.

Be sure that you're on the list...It's the only way you'll be able to have your say on the issues which will affect you over the coming years. Don't miss out!
