The total number of unemployed claimants in South Ribble constituency in April 2015 was 694. This represents a rate of 1.4% of the economically active population aged 16 to 64, the 482nd highest of the 650 UK constituencies. (1st = highest claimant rate, 650th = lowest claimant rate).

Making your vote count!

As thousands of postal votes start to be returned the 2015 general and local elections are well underway, please ensure you return your Conservative vote in time for May 7th. The election is one of the most inportant of our times, we can't afford to let Labour destroy all the hard work by local and national Conservatives and every vote is needed to return us to office

South Ribble Council Budget Revealed

Conservative controlled South Ribble Borough Council’s share of Council Tax will be frozen for the fifth time in six years, staying at £208.30 per year for a band D property in 2015/16. It means householders will not have to pay a penny extra for services from waste collection and recycling to environmental health and maintenance of our award-winning parks. This has been achieved with the help of a Council Tax Freeze Grant of £77,037 from the government.

Polling district review

Every four years local authorities are required to undertake a review of all polling districts and polling places and the next review in South Ribble Borough area has to be completed by 31 January 2015.
